Purchasing information
The lot is in fair overall condition with scratches and small dents in keeping with general wear. The opal is possibly a replacement, with possible small repairs to the shoulders. The band may be a replacement and is slightly out of round. The diamonds appear moderately well matched, estimated total diamond weight 0.05ct. Individual diamonds too small to accurately assess colour/clarity grades, though some diamonds have noticeable chips/naturals to the surface. One diamond deficient to the shoulders. The opal is a shallow cabochon. The opal displays a good play of colour, predominantly reddish orange and green hues. Inbetween the patches of play of colour is a dark veining and the partially matrix filled cavities to the reverse of the opal are dark. The opal appears to have minor crazing. The opal has significant surface scratches and a small chip to the tip of the pear-shape. Unhallmarked.
