A Meissen-style porcelain figure group. Modelled as a courting couple in 18th century costume seated upon a garden bench, he with hands clasped in imploring gesture, beneath a tree stump surmounted by a cherub as Cupid, the naturalistic oval base with gilt rococo scroll moulding, underglaze blue crossed batons verso, 12", (30.5cm) high (af).

Three branches reduced, another detached but present. Typical bocage losses. Firing flaw to rear of bench. Male - right index finger missing. Hem of tailcoat appears restored to naked eye but is not soft to bite. Female - right thumb missing.
