Condition Report

A mid 19th century garnet and diamond ring. The heart-shape garnet cabochon, with overlaid rose-cut diamond foliate detail, to the scroll engraved reverse and later band with groove detail. Weight 8gms.

    Overall condition good with minor surface scratches in keeping with general wear. Evidence that it has been later converted from a pendant. Band is a possible later replacement. Estimated total spread weight of diamonds 0.55ct. Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour/clarity assessment. Please note this does not represent the actual weight of the diamonds. With hair panel to reverse. Ring size G.
