A Victorian silver mounted green glass decanter.

Condition Report

A Victorian silver mounted green glass decanter, of compressed globular shape with applied loop handle and short cylindrical neck leading to a silver collar and silver mounted cork stopper with ball finial. Hallmarked Birmingham 1879 with maker's mark 'T.W'. Height including stopper measures 8 1/8 inches (20.5 cm).

Purchasing information
    The decanter displays general surface scratches, marks and wear commensurate with the age and use. Small repair to the base of the handle. Numerous deeper scratches and contact marks to the underside of the decanter. Some bubble imperfections in the glass and some nicks to the surface. Some tarnishing and wear to the silver mounts and the ball finial leans very slightly to one side. Some rubbing but the hallmarks are still clear and legible.
