Condition Report

A late 19th century 15ct gold quartz fob. The foil-back quartz, engraved with an armorial crest, to the stylised floral and line mount and pedestal. Length 2.9cms. Weight 18.7gms.

Purchasing information
    The lot is in good overall condition with light scratches in keeping with general wear. Minor crack to one side of the pedestal. Slight discolouration. Very minor file mark to pedestal with associated slight discolouration. Please see important notices for purchasers in the catalogue and on our website for Coloured Gemstones. The quartz is foil back and appears a slightly orangey yellow hue. The armorial is engraved as a spreadeagle bird, with heart and crown, within a shield panel, with three star surround. To the kneeling angel and wreath surmount, with scrolling ribbon crest "vive ut vivas" below. The quartz shows moderate surface abrasion. Small chips to shield edge. Length does not include later loop surmounts.
