Condition Report

An early 20th century 9ct gold split pearl and garnet pendant. The seed pearl crescent with oval-shape garnet and seed pearl floral centre, to the oval-shape garnet drop and seed pearl surmount. May be worn as a brooch. Length 4.7cms. Weight 3.4gms.

Purchasing information
    Overall condition good to fair. Surface scratches and discolouration in keeping with general wear and age. Soft solder repair to the hinge. Base metal pin. The seed pearls are fairly well matched some are discoloured due to age. Without the aid of laboratory equipment, it has not been possible to determine if these cultured pearls are from a fresh or saltwater source. The garnets are a well matched slightly-purplish-red, with fairly good clarity, and minor scratches to some facets and abrasion to the facet edges.
