Condition Report

An early 20th century 18ct gold garnet and diamond ring. The circular-shape garnet, with old-cut diamond trefoil shoulders, to the bifurcated shoulders and tapered band. Estimated total diamond weight 0.20ct. Hallmarks for Birmingham, partially rubbed. Weight 2.4gms.

    Overall condition good. Minor surface wear in keeping with age. Evidence of resizing. Evidence of repair to the band. Pitting to the band. Garnet pinkish-red, moderate colour saturation. Fairly good clarity with typical inclusions. Garnet in good condition with minor abrasion and some minor nicks. Please see Important Notices for Purchasers in our catalogue or on our website for coloured gemstones. Diamonds bright and well matched. Individual size prevents accurate colour/clarity assessment. Scattered to large inclusions generally visible under magnification, some are surface reaching and visible to the unaided eye. Diamonds in fair to good condition with some abrasion and nicks.
