Condition Report

An early 20th century gold scarab ring. The glazed faience scarab beetle, within a collet mount, rotating to the stylised snake shoulders and shaped band. Weight 6.3gms.

Purchasing information
    The lot is in good overall condition with scratches in keeping with general wear. The band has been repaired/resized with minor discolouration and slight pitting. Scarab has a slightly greenish blue glaze. cracks/fissures to the top of the scarab, likely done during manufacture. Small chips/losses, mostly to the scarab legs, again possibly done during manufacture. Length of scarab 1.4cms. Length of ring from snake head to snake head 2.3cms. Approximate ring size M however the hole for the finger is oval, not round.
