A late 19th century gold, diamond and cameo brooch.

Condition Report

A late 19th century gold and diamond cameo brooch, the oval-shape shell, carved to depict a woman holding a bow away from a small child, to the rope-twist surround with old-cut diamond curved bar accents. Estimated total diamond weight 0.55ct. Length 5.7cms. Weight 15.7gms.

Purchasing information
    The lot is in good overall condition with light scratches in keeping with general wear. base metal pin, possible replacement fittings. Diamond panels probable later additions. The diamonds appear bright and well matched. Individual diamonds too small to accurately assess colour/clarity grades. Diamonds appear tinted with varying inclusions. Shell shows small cracks to the front and large, fine cracks.
