A Roman gold carnelian intaglio ring. The carnelian carved to depict a bust in profile, within a ridged surround, to the openwork band. Weight 5.1gms.

Purchasing information
    The lot is in good overall condition with light scratches in keeping with general wear. The band is very slightly out of round. Please see important notices for purchasers in the catalogue and on our website for Coloured Gemstones. The carnelian shows significant abrasion and minor nicks. Slight unevenness to the mount. General dirt.
