Condition Report

A late Victorian gold labradorite monkey ring and pair of earrings. The ring carved to depict the face of a monkey, each earring designed as an opal cabochon to the rose-cut diamond surmount. Length of earrings 1.6cms. Weight 7.7gms.

Purchasing information
    The lot is in fair to poor overall condition with scratches in keeping with general wear. The band has been repaired/resized with slight discolouration. The labradorite monkey is significantly worn and abraded with virtually no detail remaining. The monkey is deficient the gem eyes. Length of monkey face 0.9cm. One earring deficient the hook fitting. The opals are well matched with moderate play of colour. Significant abrasion, one small chip. Diamonds are in closed back settings, unable to determine size, colour or clarity grades. Ring size P.
