Condition Report

A mid 19th century coral brooch. The branching coral, carved to depict a satyr, with grape and vine leaf surmount. Length 3.8cms. Weight 11.7gms.

Purchasing information
    The lot is in good overall condition with light scratches in keeping with general wear. Glue visible around fittings, possibly not original. Fittings appear gilt base metal. Large polyp holes and slight discolouration visible to reverse. Please see important notices for purchasers in the catalogue and on our website for Coloured Gemstones. Coral untested for natural colour origin. The coral is a slightly mottled, medium orangey pink hue.
