A chrysoberyl and ruby ring. The rectangular-shape green chrysoberyl, to the circular-shape ruby stepped sides and plain band. Austrian assay marks. Weight 5.9gms.

    The lot is in good overall condition with light scratches in keeping with minimal wear. Stamped 585. Please see important notices for purchasers in the catalogue and on our website for Coloured Gemstones. The chrysoberyl is a medium, moderately vibrant very slightly brownish, slightly yellowy green hue. Light, eye visible inclusions towards the edges of the gem. The rubies are a well matched moderately purplish red hue. Significant inclusions including whitish broken-silk-type inclusions. Some small surface reaching features. Ring size J 1/2.
