Condition Report

A mid 19th century gold citrine brooch. Designed as a graduated series of three oval, pear and octagonal-shape citrine, each within a scrolling foliate surround. Smallest drop loose. Length 8.5cms. Weight 23.3gms.

Purchasing information
    The lot is in good to fair overall condition with light scratches in keeping with general wear. The smallest drop is broken off, possible further small modifications/deficiencies. The brooch fittings are replacements with a central bar. Marks to the clasp, worn. Please see important notices for purchasers in the catalogue and on our website for Coloured Gemstones. Citrine are a well matched slightly brownish yellow hue, with slight variation in tone. Largest citrine with reflective eye visible inclusions to one corner, one surface reaching. Minor abrasion. Some discolouration to mounts.
