An early 20th century 18ct gold black opal and diamond cluster ring. The oval black opal cabochon, within an old-cut diamond surround, to the partial band. Estimated total diamond weight 0.35ct. Weight 4.2gms.

Purchasing information
    The lot is in poor overall condition with scratches in keeping with general wear. The band has been broken, over half of the band is deficient. The diamonds appear bright and well matched. Individual diamonds too small to accurately assess colour/clarity grades. Please see important notices for purchasers in the catalogue and on our website for Coloured Gemstones. The opal is a deep greyish blue hue. Approximately half of the opal surface shows good play of colour, primarily in the green and blue hues. Significant abrasion. Wear to some claws, may require attention. Dimensions of ring head 1.5 by 1.1cms, by 0.7cm deep.
