Condition Report

Two items of 9ct gold jewellery. To include an oval purple fluorite cabochon single-stone ring, together with a marquise-shape opal cabochon and brilliant-cut diamond foliate cluster pendant, with hinged surmount. Hallmarks for Sheffield, 1985 and Birmingham, 2002. Length of pendant 2.6cms. Weight 7.1gms.

    Overall condition fair to good. Some surface wear in keeping with general wear. Ring with evidence of resizing, hallmarks partially rubbed, band slightly off-round. Ring with surface scratches and nicks. Fluorite with typical purple and colourless colour zones. Fair condition with significant surface abrasion and nicks. Opals well matched, translucent with play-of-colour from orange through to violet. Opals in good condition with minor abrasion.
