Condition Report

An early 20th century 18ct gold diamond star brooch. The cushion-shape diamond, within an extended claw setting, to the six-ray star surround. Estimated diamond weight 0.40ct, J-K colour, SI2-P1 clarity. Length 3.4cms. Weight 6.5gms.

Purchasing information
    Overall condition good. Minor surface scratches in keeping with minimal wear, polished to a high finish. The pin is a different tone of gold and may be a different fineness of gold. Evidence of repair to the claws visible under magnification. The diamond is bright and lively. Small dark inclusions can just be seen with the naked eye, light colour inclusions can be seen under magnification. The diamond is a slightly yellow tint. Stamped 18ct.
