A mid Victorian 15ct gold ruby and split pearl ring. The rectangular-shape ruby and split pearl cluster, with bead accents, to the scrolling shoulders and engraved band. Hallmarks for Birmingham, 1871. Weight 2.8gms.

Purchasing information-
Overall condition good to fair. Surface scratches in keeping with general age and wear. Rubies are a mid-red hue with mild abrasion to the facet edges. Typical inclusions can be seen with magnification. The split pearls have a creamy-grey body colour. Minor blemishes to the surface. One split pearl showing significant growth rings and nacre damage. Engraving on the band has worn in areas. Band worn slightly thin. Claws on the ruby settings have worn and may need attention in the future. Ring size N.
