Description

Condition Report

GERALD GENTA - a gentleman's Retro jump hour wrist watch. Reference G3634.7, serial 75243. Signed automatic movement. Blue mother-of-pearl dial with retrograde minute counter, hour aperture to six. Stainless steel case fitted to a non-original black crocodile strap with pin buckle. 35mm.

The Gerald Genta touch can be discerned in successful watch designs from numerous great watchmaking houses including Audemars Piguet, Patek Philippe and Cartier. He did keep some signature concepts for his own brand watches, particularly the octagonal case and the jump-hour retrograde movement. Although often using the jump-hour function playfully, as in the famous Mickey Mouse golf watch, this watch gets the classical treatment with a mother-of-pearl dial, clear Arabic numerals, a blued steel single hand and a coin edge case.

Please note: When placing absentee bids, your bids will be rounded up to the nearest bid increment. For more information click the 'Important Notices for Purchasers' button above.
