A selection of nine brooches, to include an enamel butterfly brooch by J Aitkin & Son, three Scottish brooches, two late 19th century paste brooches, a butterfly wing brooch and two cameo brooches. First with maker's mark for J Aitkin & Son. Lengths 6.5 to 3cms.

Purchasing information-
Overall condition fair to good. Some surface wear and tarnishing in keeping with age/general wear. Replacement base metal pins. Enamel in good condition with minor abrasion. One Scottish brooch with significant dents and fractures to the frame. One with wear to the yellow metal surface. One late 19th century brooch with significant soft solder repairs. The other with indentations and wear to the yellow metal surface. Pastes in fair condition with significant surface wear. Butterfly wing with some areas of wear/deterioration. Mother-of-pearl doublet cameo with some surface smoothing/wear, pink backing. Shell cameo with some surface wear and typical fine hairline fractures.
