Condition Report

Two gold gem-set rings. To include a late Victorian 15ct gold ruby and split pearl ring, together with a 1970s 18ct gold sapphire single-stone ring with grooved and scrolling sides. Hallmarks for Birmingham, 1888 and London, 1978. Total weight 7.2gms.

Purchasing information
    The lot is in good overall condition with light scratches in keeping with general wear. The band has been repaired/resized to at least one, with very minor pitting. Slight general discolouration. Please see important notices for purchasers in the catalogue and on our website for Coloured Gemstones. The sapphire is a medium deep blue hue, significant abrasion. The ruby is a medium slightly pinkish red hue, glue visible to mount, possible replacement. The split pearls are well matched with moderate wear. Glue visible to one split pearl mount. Ring size L 1/2 and O. The US prohibits the importation of items containing rubies or jadeite originating in Burma.
