A selection of three gem-set brooches. To include a late 19th century gold agate brooch, a 9ct gold seed pearl and ruby wreath brooch, together with an enamel and diamond floral brooch. One with makers marks for Cropp & Farr. One with hallmarks for Birmingham, 1998. Lengths 1.8 to 3.6cms. Total weight 8.7gms.

Purchasing information-
Overall condition good to fair. Surface scratches and discolouration in keeping with general wear and age. White enamel deficient in areas on floral brooch. Lead solder visible underneath of flower. The agate in the surround are matched for colours with a banded orangey-brown with white of varied patterns, with a mottled vari-tone green and white central stone. Wreath brooch with makers marks C&F. The seed pearls are a well matched white with good lustre showing pink and green overtones, some show hairline cracks, abrasion and some peeling to the skins. The rubies are a well matched bright pinkish-red, with fairly good clarity showing typical inclusions visible under magnification and straight colour zoning to some stones. The US prohibits the importation of items containing rubies or jadeite originating in Burma.
