Condition Report

A late 19th century gold split pearl fringe necklace. Designed as a split pearl fringe, with similarly-set crescent detail to the split pearl. One split pearl deficient. Length 42cms. Weight 20.8gms.

Purchasing information
    Overall condition good to fair. Surface scratches and discolouration in keeping with general wear. The seed pearls measure approximately 1.5 to 3.7mms in diameter. The seed pearls vary in colour, shape and lustre quality, some with slight wear. Central crescent panel has a loop to the reverse to suspend a pendant section. Some split pearls may be replacement. There are some later addition plain links near the clasp. Split pearls untested for natural origin.
