An open face pocket watch by Field & Co. with another pocket watch.

Condition Report

An open face pocket watch by Field & Co. Hallmarked London 1882. Signed full plate key wind fusee and chain movement with ratchet tooth lever escapement. White enamel dial with Roman numeral hour markers, subsidiary seconds dial to six. Silver case. 52mm. Together with a silver open face pocket watch by Waltham.

Purchasing information
  • Movement is currently not functioning.
  • Movement shows signs of previous intervention, balance is broken.
  • Dial has hairline cracks noticeable to six, on the subsidiary seconds dial and running from the centre to twelve. Chips to edges.
  • Hands have some tarnishing and surface rust. Seconds hand is missing.
  • Glass has some chips to the edge and some light scratches.
  • Case has light/medium scratches, marks and tarnishing commensurate with general wear. Some discolouration and rubbing to the detail.
  • Pendant bow has some play.

  • Additional watch is not currently functioning
  • Balance appears intact, signs of previous intervention and heavy discolouration to the plates.
  • Dial has noticeable hairline cracks running from the left of the twelve down to the eight and across to the two.
  • Hands are tarnished with some deformation.
  • Glass has some chips to the edge and some light scratches.
  • Case has medium scratches, marks and tarnishing commensurate with general wear. Some discolouration and rubbing to the detail. Dents to the case and cuvette can be seen. Some amateur engraving to the cuvette.
  • Pendant bow is loose.
