Condition Report

A 9ct gold diamond and amethyst brooch. The diamond point star atop an oval amethyst cabochon, to the scrolling surround. Hallmarks for London, 1972. Length 3.4cms. Weight 10.8gms.

    The lot is in good overall condition with light scratches in keeping with general wear. Please see important notices for purchasers in the catalogue and on our website for Coloured Gemstones. Amethyst shows drill hole to reverse. Eye visible inclusions. The amethyst is a medium deep purple hue. The diamonds appear moderately bright and well matched, estimated total diamond spread weight 0.15ct, which is no indication of the total diamond weight. Individual diamonds too small to accurately assess colour/clarity grades.
