A collection of nine sport and music trophies, previously auctioned as part of 'The entire contents of The West Heath School, Seven Oaks, Kent' by Gorringes Auction Galleries on Monday 30th March 1998. Complete with original auction catalogue. West Heath Inter-House Swimming Cup, presented by Eleanor Henderson & Diana Moore. Hallmarked William Hutton & Sons Ltd, Birmingham 1929. Height 6 inches (15 cm), weight 11.6 ozt (361 grams). West Heath Piano Cup, presented by Charlotte Matthew. Hallmarked London 1933. Height measuring 5 3/4 inches (14.5 cm), weight weight 7.1 ozt (223 grams). West Heath Main and Wing Lacrosse Cup, 1911, House 1925. Hallmarked Sheffield 1910. Height measuring 5 inches (13 cm), weight 8.9 ozt (277 grams). House Rounders, presented by J. C. L 1967. Hallmarked Birmingham 1937. Height measuring 5 1/2 inches (14 cm), weight 2.2 ozt (70 grams). West Heath Music. Hallmarked London 1939. Height measuring 3 1/2 inches (9 cm), weight 2.1 ozt (67 grams). House Cup Netball, presented by Miss Witherington. Hallmarked London, possibly 1902. Height measuring 6 inches (15 cm), weight 4.5 ozt (141 grams). Julia Haviland Debating Cup. Hallmarked Birmingham 1925. Height measuring 3 1/2 inches (9 cm). Two miniature silver presentation goblets, unnamed, but engraved with winners. Hallmarked Birmingham 1928 and Chester 1920. Heights measuring 3 inches (7.5 cm) and 2 1/2 inches (6 cm), gross weight 1.1 ozt (36 grams). As the former boarding school of the late Diana Princess of Wales (1961-1997); who attended the school from 1974-1977; the auction generated considerable interest from both the media and formers pupils. During her years at the school, Diana showed a particular interest in music (as an accomplished pianist) as well as dance and sports, winning the 'The West Heath Dancing Cup' in 1976 which sold for ú7,000 as part of the auction in 1998.
