Condition Report

An Edwardian 15ct gold turquoise, split pearl and tourmaline brooch. The split pearl and circular turquoise cabochon scrolling bar, suspending a pear-shape green tourmaline drop. Hallmarks for Chester, 1906. Length 4.1cms. Weight 3.9gms.

    Overall condition good to fair. Surface scratches in keeping with general wear. There are some areas of discolouration to the brooch in places. There is significant scratching to one area and discolouration. The split pearls are well matched and the turquoise are in good condition. The tourmaline is yellowish green with a good saturation of colour. The back pin and catch is secure. Please see important notices for purchasers in our catalogue and online for coloured gemstones.
