Condition Report

A mid 20th century 18ct gold ruby and gem-set ring. The graduated oval-shape ruby and replacement paste and garnet line, to the slightly tapered band. Weight 6.5gms.

Purchasing information
    The lot is in good to fair overall condition with light scratches in keeping with general wear. Few deeper scratches, slight discolouration. Stamped 18ct. One of the end gems is a replacement garnet, the gem next to the garnet is a replacement red paste. Paste shows significant abrasion. Please see the Important Notices for Purchasers for Coloured Gemstones. The garnet is a fairly good match to the rubies, with a medium, pinky red hue, fair saturation. The paste is a closer match to the colour of the rubies with a slightly purplish, pinky red hue. The rubies are a well matched slightly purplish red hue. Typical inclusions, including eye visible inclusions and some surface reaching features. Minor-moderate abrasion. Ring size P.
