Condition Report

A mid 18th century gold beryl and enamel memorial ring. The foil-back beryl collet, between openwork sides to the black enamel scrolling band reading, 'Abel Haworth OB.21 Mar 1739 AE T 50.' Width 3.1mms. Approximate ring size Q. Weight 3.5cms.

Purchasing information
    Overall condition good to fair. Surface scratches and discolouration in keeping with general wear and age. Band slightly out of shape. The beryl has a bright medium green colour with strong saturation and good clarity. There is heavy abrasion to the facet edges. The enamel is scratched and chipped, with portions deficient.
