Condition Report

Two diamond and gem-set cluster rings. To include a 1960s circular-shape amethyst and diamond point ring, together with an oval-shape synthetic ruby and single-cut diamond ring. One with hallmarks for Birmingham, 1968. Total weight 5.3gms.

  • Overall condition fair to good. Surface scratches in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Both bands have worn slightly thin on the sides. The synthetic ruby ring band is misshaped.
  • The amethyst has significant abrasion. The synthetic ruby has moderate abrasion.
  • Estimated total diamond weight less than 0.10ct.
  • Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.
  • The diamonds in the amethyst ring have small nicks and chips.
  • The synthetic ruby ring is stamped 18ct plat.
  • Ring sizes L1/2 and P1/2.
