A gentleman's mid 20th century 14ct gold diamond single-stone ring. The brilliant-cut diamond, within an extended claw setting, to the plain band. Estimated diamond weight 0.75ct, H-I colour, SI clarity. Hallmarks for Birmingham. Weight 6.7gms.

  • Overall condition fair to good. Minor surface wear in keeping with age and general wear.
  • Band shows evidence of resize. Wear to the claws, diamond moves slightly within the setting, may need attention. Ring dates from the mid 20th century, with later hallmark.
  • Diamond bright, assessed within the limits of the mount. Scattered light and dark inclusions, located under the table and towards the girdle, visible under magnification.
  • Diamond in good condition with minor abrasion.
