Condition Report

An early 20th century silver and 18ct gold sapphire and diamond pendant. Of openwork design, the oval-shape sapphire, to the rose-cut diamond scrolling foliate sides, with old-cut diamond highlights, suspending an old-cut diamond drop. Principal diamonds estimated total weight 1.25cts, J-K colour, SI2-P1 clarity. Length of pendant 4cms. Length of chain 38.5cms. Weight 10.3gms.

Purchasing information
  • Overall condition good. Light surface scratches in keeping with general wear.

  • Old-cut diamonds are assessed within the limitations of the mount. Some of the diamonds with surface naturals, nicks and light/dark inclusions.

    Top old-cut diamond claw setting is slightly misshapen.

  • Individual size and setting of rose-cut diamonds prevents accurate colour/clarity grade and weight assessment, some with surface nicks and abrasions.

  • Sapphire light blue hue, with colour zoning.

  • Approximate dimensions of sapphire 11.2 by 8.2 by 4.8mms.
