A mid Victorian gold, enamel and split pearl brooch

Condition Report

A mid Victorian gold, enamel and split pearl brooch. Of oval outline with central woven hair panel to the black enamel leaf surround with split pearl accents and hinged reverse glass back panel. One split pearl deficient. Length 4.2cms. Weight 7.8gms.

Purchasing information
    The overall condition of this lot is fair, with surface scratches and discolouration to the metal in keeping with age and wear. Small dent to the edge of the brooch visible above the left hand split pearl accent. Hair in panel has come away from backing in places. One split pearl deficient. One leaf has enamel deficient and remaining enamel chipped and scratched in some areas.
