Condition Report

Two gold gem-set dress rings. To include a late 19th century gold ruby and split pearl cluster dress ring with split pearl band, together with a 9ct gold split pearl and turquoise band ring. One with hallmarks for London, 1967. Total weight 6.1gms.

Purchasing information
  • Overall condition fair to poor. Surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and dents in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Many of the split pearls are cracked and damaged, with many mostly worn away. Two are deficient.
  • The rubies are well matched.
  • Rubies pinkish red with a fairly good saturation of colour, typical inclusions easily visible with magnification, some are surface reaching.
  • The turquose vary in colour, some are more green.
  • Blisters and blemishes visible to the nacre of the split pearls. Some split pearls and turquoise are possible replacements.
  • Ring sizes M and L1/2.
