Condition Report

An early 20th century 18ct gold ruby and diamond cluster ring. The marquise-shape ruby, within an old-cut diamond surround. Estimated total diamond weight 0.35ct. Hallmarks for Chester, partially indistinct. Weight 3.5gms.

  • Overall condition fair. Surface scratches in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Band shows evidence of a resize.
  • The ruby has a noticeable chip to the surface. Due to ruby condition it is untested, possibly synthetic.
  • Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.
  • Some diamonds with light nicks and nibbles.
