An early 19th century diamond ring with earlier carnelian intaglio. The carnelian cabochon, carved with an ant, to the old-cut diamond sides. Estimated total diamond weight 0.25ct. Weight 2.8gms.

Purchasing information- Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches and discolouration in keeping with general age and wear.
- Band shows evidence of repair/ resize.
- The intaglio mount has significant wear to both sides, showing through to the front of the ring on one side.
- Diamonds bright and well matched.
- Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.
- Carnelian in good to fair condition with moderate abrasion abrasions and a moderately shallow chip to the edge of the cabochon, near the head of the ant.
- Ring size I 1/2.
