Condition Report

BOUCHERON - an Art Deco platinum diamond, emerald and enamel brooch, circa 1930s. Of geometric design, the hexagonal-shape diamond line, supported by black enamel arrow accents, to the single and circular-cut diamond scalloped sides and triangular-shape diamond and emerald cabochon bar terminals. Signed Boucheron, Paris. Estimated total diamond weight 7cts, principal diamonds estimated G-H colour, VS clarity. Length 8.2cms. Weight 17.6gms.

Purchasing information
  • Overall condition good to fair. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Replacement clasp, possible replacement pin and hinge. Slight soft solder visible to the reverse.
  • General slight curvature to the piece.
  • Some diamonds slightly loose, may require attention.
  • Diamonds bright and well matched.
  • Principal diamonds estimated between 0.58 and 0.76ct, no obvious inclusions under 10x.
  • Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment. Few, small, scattered inclusions.

  • Emeralds are a well matched medium slightly bluish green hue, well saturated, with typical inclusions.

  • Stones in good condition with minor abrasions.

  • Some slight enamel loss and possible slight enamel repair/restoration.
