Condition Report

A mid 20th century 18ct gold and platinum sapphire and diamond three-stone ring. The circular-shape sapphire, to the old-cut diamond shoulders and plain band. Estimated total diamond weight 1.20cts, L-tinted colour, P2-P3 clarity. Weight 3.4gms.

Purchasing information
  • Overall condition good. Minor surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Diamond fairly well matched.
  • The diamonds are drawing yellow, significant inclusions visible to both diamonds. There is an inclusions stemming accross one of the diamonds which is surface reaching and possibly affecting the durability of the stone.
  • Sapphire medium light blue, weak to moderate saturation of colour, with visible patchy colour, angular colour zoning and typical inclusions.

  • There is an inclusion which is brown in colour, easily visible with the unaided eye
  • Stone in fair condition with abrasion and nibbles to the girdle and facet edges.

  • Ring size O.

  • Stamped 18ct plat.
