An early 20th century 15ct gold tourmaline and split-pearl pendant. Of openwork design, the cushion-shape pink tourmaline, within a split-pearl scrolling surround, suspended from a later trace-link chain. Length of pendant 2.2cms. Length of chain 44cms. Weight 7.1gms.

Purchasing information- Overall condition good. Surface scratches and minor discolouration in keeping with general wear.
- Brooch fittings later addition, with soft solder to hinge and clasp areas.
- Tourmaline very slightly reddish light pink, well saturated, with good to fair clarity and typical inclusions.
- Tourmaline in poor to fair condition with some some heavy scratches to the table, with moderate to heavy abrasion and minor nibbles to the girdle and facet edges.
- Split-pearls fairly well matched.
- Split-pearls creamy-white to yellowish-white, with some purple overtones and fair lustre.
- Split-pearls in good to fair condition with some abrasion and peeling to some surfaces.
- Plaque to the reverse of the pendant reads 15ct.
