Condition Report

A selection of seven gem-set brooches. To include a late 19th century 9ct gold banded agate and diamond cluster bar brooch, an early 20th century 9ct gold garnet bar brooch, a 9ct gold ruby and diamond crescent brooch, together with four further brooches. Four with hallmarks for 9ct gold. Lengths 3.4 to 5.7cms. Total weight 15.3gms.

  • Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Diamonds fairly well matched.
  • Diamonds fairly bright.

  • Estimated total diamond weight under 0.10ct.

  • Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.

  • There are some areas of abrasion to some of the gemstones.
  • Some split pearls have been replaced with imitation split pearls.
  • Several have replacement metal pins.
