Condition Report

Two late 19th to early 20th century banded agate brooches. Each designed as an oval onyx or banded agate cabochon, within a collet surround, one with glazed panel reverse. Lengths 4.2 and 3.5cms.

Purchasing information
  • Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Onyx mount shows significant discolouration and small tear near the pin hinge.
  • Stones in good condition with minor abrasions.

  • Onyx with a curved surface reaching fissure.
  • Total weight 40.8gms.
