Condition Report

A late 19th century gold garnet and diamond cluster ring. The rose-cut diamond, within a vari-cut garnet surround, to the replacement band. Weight 6.3gms.

Purchasing information
  • Overall condition fair. Surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and dents in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Soft solder visible to the shoulders and back rim of the cluster.
  • Head and band both late 19th century.
  • Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.

  • Garnets medium dark purplish brown, moderate saturation, inclusions visible with the unaided eye.

  • Stones in fair condition with some abrasion and minor nibbles to the girdle and facet edges. Visible chips to several garnets

  • Ring size N.
