An Art Nouveau silver twin-handled vase.

Condition Report

An Art Nouveau silver twin-handled vase of hammered tapering form with flared rim, having tendril motifs forming the two handles and bordering the twin opposed cartouche, one vacant and the other with a later presentation engraving, the whole raised on a circular spread foot. Hallmarked Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co Ltd., London 1904. Height measures 10 inches (25.3 cm), weight 16.18 ozt (503.3 grams).

Purchasing information
    The vase displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Large dint and creases in the metal around the rim. The hallmarks appear a little rubbed but legible, maker's mark is partly distorted. Also with impressed maker's name and address to foot interior. Later inscription reads 'Challenge Cup Presented Nov 19th 1938 by Mrs Musgrave Hoyle. For most points Section C'.
