Condition Report

ROLEX - a gentleman's Oyster Perpetual Date Submariner bracelet watch. Circa 1984. Stainless steel case with calibrated bezel. Reference 16800, serial 8046330. Signed automatic calibre 3035 with quick date set. Black dial with luminous hour markers, date aperture to three. Fitted to a signed stainless steel Oyster bracelet with Fliplock clasp. 40mm. Purchasing information
  • Movement is currently functioning.
  • Movement is worn with noticeable staining, scratches and marks visible to the naked eye.
  • Dial appears to be in an average condition with some light marks and scratches when viewed under a 4x loupe. Dial is a service replacement. We believe that this was fitted by either Rolex or a Rolex approved technician.
  • Hands show marks and tarnishing when viewed under a x4 loupe.Hands are service replacements. We believe these were fitted by either Rolex or a Rolex approved technician.
  • Glass has some scratches and marks when viewed under a 4x loupe.
  • Case shows noticeable scratches, marks and dints. Case middle appears to be a service replacement by Rolex, as such whilst it is stamped 168000 the serial number suggest this watch is a 16800 with significant changes. Bezel is a service replacement. We believe that this was fitted by either Rolex or a Rolex approved technician.
  • Crown screws down and is currently functioning correctly; the surface has noticeable scratches and dinting.
  • Bracelet is in a poor condition, with heavy wear and signs of stretching, twisting or distortion of the links.
  • Clasp is currently functioning and shows visible scratches and marks.
  • Bracelet measures approximately 18.5cm including case.
