Condition Report

A selection of three early 20th century gold gem-set brooches. To include a peridot and split pearl scrolling brooch, a purple paste and split pearl foliate brooch, together with a split pearl initial 'M' bar brooch. Lengths 3.8 to 3.4cms. Weight 7.3gms.

Purchasing information
  • Overall condition good to fair. Surface scratches and discolouration in keeping with general age and wear.
  • The Initial panel has been later added to the bar with soft solder.
  • Two pearls deficient.
  • Peridot has light surface scratches. The paste has moderate abrasion and nibbles. The pearls have light to moderate nacre damage. Significant nacre damage and discolouration to the initial brooch seed pearls.
  • The peridot and paste brooches are stamped 15ct, paste bar stamped 9ct. Initial brooch stamps indistinct.
