Condition Report

An 18ct gold opal doublet and diamond three-stone ring. The oval opal doublet cabochon, with triangular-shape diamond sides, to the grooved shoulders. Estimated total diamond weight 0.40ct, J-K colour, SI clarity. Hallmarks for Birmingham, partially indistinct. Weight 5.9gms.

Purchasing information
  • Overall condition good. Surface scratches in keeping with general age and wear.
  • The opal doublet has a grey body colour with strong red, blue and green play-of-colour. Light surface scratches and minor abrasion.
  • The diamonds are drawing a slight yellow hue, with small central inclusions, visible with magnification. Colour graded within closed mount limitations, may be potentially higher.
  • Hallmark date indistinct.
  • Ring size O1/2.
