Condition Report

An early 20th century 18ct gold diamond and enamel viola brooch. The old-cut diamond, within a white, pink and purple enamel petal surround. Enamel AF. Estimated diamond weight 0.25ct, I-J colour, SI clarity. Length 3.1cms. Weight 6gms.

Purchasing information
  • Overall condition fair to poor. Surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and dents in keeping with general age and wear.
  • There are some significant chips to the edging enamel of all of the petals.
  • Scratches and scuffs also visible to the enamel.
  • The back brooch fitting is a replacement of a similar period, with visible soft solder to each side.
  • pin is 9ct gold
