A Victorian silver coffee pot.

Condition Report

A late Victorian silver coffee pot, the oval bellied form with stipple engraved and punched borders and lobed lower body, having conforming decoration to the hinged lid and with stained wood handle and finial. Hallmarked Walker & Hall, Sheffield 1897. Maximum height to handle measures 9 1/2 inches (24 cm), gross weight 21 ozt (653.6 grams).

Purchasing information
    The coffee pot displays general wear, surface scratches, marks and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Darker patches and residues of polish visible to some areas. The handle is loose in the sockets and a fixing pin is missing. Glue repair to top of handle and a further repair to finial. Hinged lid appears in good working order although the rim does not sit quite flush. The hallmarks are clear and legible, also part hallmarks to lid and impressed maker's name to base.
