Condition Report
An early 20th century reverse-carved intaglio and gem-set brooch. The circular-shape rock crystal, reverse-carved to depict a woman on horseback, with mother-of-pearl back, to the rose-cut diamond and oval-shape ruby spacer surround. Diameter 2.9cms. Weight 7.5gms. With case.

Purchasing information- Overall condition good. Minor surface scratches in keeping with general age and wear to the mount.
- Some discolouration to the reverse of the mount.
- The rubies have a medium pink hue, well saturated matched.
- Minor surface scratches and nibbles to the facet edges.
- Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.
- The diamonds are drawing a slight yellow hue, some have incurred small nibbles and chips.
- The intaglio crystal is in good condition, a small amount of dirt has got behind the mother-of-pearl ground.
- The pin is slightly bent out of shape.
