Condition Report

A late 19th century amethyst and split pearl mourning brooch. The central oval-shape foil-backed amethyst with split pearls and circular amethyst surround, to the glazed hair panel to the reverse. Length 2.7cms. Weight 7.7gms.

    This lot is in good condition, with light scratches to the metal in keeping with age and wear. The amethysts are lightly scratched and chipped in keeping with wear and age. The foil is visibly pink in some areas, and more colourless in others. One stone is noticeably lighter in colour and has a large chip. Glass has light signs of wear to the surface.Condition reports are offered as a guide only and we highly recommend inspecting any lot to satisfy yourself as to its condition.
